PRIVACY PRINCIPLES

At Edu-App-Store, we pursue ideas and products that often push the limits of existing technology. As a company that acts responsibly we work hard to make sure any innovation is balanced with the appropriate level of privacy and security for our users. Our Privacy Principles help guide decisions we make at every level of our company, so we can help protect and empower our users while we pursue our ongoing ambition to become the Premier Portal for ICT applications, products and services to Academia.

In all our actions and policies we are guided by the following principles:

a. Use information to provide our users with valuable products and services.

It is the ambition of Edu-App-Store to become the Premier Portal for academia in general, and schools in particular, advertising “best of breed” ICT applications and services. When users share information with us, it allows us to build services and products that are valuable to them and we believe that focusing on user-requirements creates both the best products and the most long-lasting relationships.

b. Develop products that reflect strong privacy standards and practices.

Edu-App-Store will provide access to products and services on the leading edge of technology and be party to the development of tools that help users manage their organisations and their processes in a simple manner that does not detract from the highest standards of economy and efficiency. We comply with privacy laws, and are happy to work with customers, regulators and industry partners to develop and implement strong privacy standards.

c. Make the collection of personal and corporate information transparent.

We strive to show users the information used to customise our services. Where appropriate, we aim to be transparent about the information we have about individual users and how we use that information to deliver our services.

d. Give users meaningful choices to protect their privacy.

Our users’ privacy concerns and needs differ, one from another; to best serve the full range of our users Edu-App-Store strives to offer meaningful choices over the use of their personal information and believe personal information should not be held hostage. We are committed to building products that let users export their personal information to other services. We do not sell users’ personal information.

e. Be a responsible steward of the information we hold.

We recognize our responsibility to protect the data that users entrust to us. We take security issues seriously and work together with users, developers and security experts to make the Edu-App-Store safer and more secure.
